Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov has met with the United States Deputy National Security Advisor Matthew Pottinger.

On November 19, 2020, Washington hosted a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and the United States Deputy National Security Advisor Matthew Pottinger. 

The progressive development of Uzbekistan – American relations was noted at the beginning of the conversation. Thanks to joint efforts, significant progress has been made in recent years in all areas of bilateral and regional agenda.

The parties exchanged views on enhancing political contacts, strengthening trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian relations and cooperation in security.

The sides emphasized the importance of supporting peace and stability in Afghanistan. The White House representative welcomed Uzbekistan's efforts to advance peace talks, promote the socio-economic recovery of Afghanistan, provide humanitarian assistance during the pandemic and support the country's regional integration.
