On August 19, 2021, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Swiss Confederation (FDFA) Ignazio Cassis, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation. The main attention was paid to the organizational and technical aspects of the evacuation of Swiss citizens from Afghanistan through the territory of Uzbekistan.
