Tashkent hosted a workshop of the local group on education in cooperation with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, UNICEF and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE).
At the event, the process and description of the development of the National Roadmap for Reforming the Educational Sphere of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2023-2026, the approval of thematic working groups in this direction, and the application for the GPE “Multiplier” grant were considered.

The development of the National Roadmap will not only enhance coordination between the various parties involved in the education sector, but also expand the most cost-effective solutions to avoid duplication of projects and inefficient use of resources.

A new project under the GPE “Multiplier” grant aims to improve infrastructure and the quality of education. Systemic sector change is additionally funded by GPE.
The National Roadmap is approved by the Government, signed by the local education team and funding institution, and based on evidence. It determines the priorities for the development of the education system and measures for their implementation, and also serves as the basis for attracting investment.
