Fergana State University delegation visited India to become acquainted with the activities of higher education institutions in the country. At Delhi University, the delegation got acquainted with the educational process and the conditions created.

In New Delhi, at the international conference on Uzbekistan – India relations held at the Ghalib Institute, the parties discussed cooperation. From the Uzbek side, a report was presented on cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries.

The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Akhatov. The delegation got acquainted with the activities of the Jawaharlal Nehru University, exchanged views on the improvement of the qualifications of teachers, the exchange of students. It should be noted that this university teaches the Uzbek language as a foreign language. The interest of Indian students in the Uzbek language is very high. It is especially pleasing that many of them were fluent in Uzbek.

The Jamia Millia Islamia University, which has a prestigious place in the world ranking, also teaches the Uzbek language.

The visit to India was fruitful. Cooperation with Indian universities will be long-term and mutually beneficial for the education system of the two countries.
