A view from Russia: Implementation of the set goals will enable Uzbekistan to look to the future with confidence
09:48 / 2026-01-17

Editor-in-Chief of the Russian magazine “National Defense” Igor Korotchenko shared his views on improving the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy:

– The Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy is the most essential programmatic document. It defines the country’s vision for the future and the main directions of its forward movement. It is important to note that the strategy’s key conceptual message is that the state exists for the people, not the people for the state.

Within the framework of economic transformation and all necessary aspects of activity, key priorities have been identified, the implementation of which will enable the country to look to the future with confidence, set ambitious and far-reaching goals of sustainable development, and achieve them under the leadership of the President of the country, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

We note Uzbekistan’s achievements across all key areas of development. Today, Uzbekistan is a modern, strong, and effective state: the population’s standard of living is rising, and large-scale socio-economic programs are being implemented. In practice, virtually every resident of the country feels improvements in terms of income levels, as well as in the attitude and respect shown by the authorities toward each individual. All of this creates stability and enhances the country’s effectiveness.

Honest and diligent work, responsible governance, and an honest leader who is respected at home and abroad form the foundation for the state’s successful progress. With the implementation of the programmatic goals and objectives set out in the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy, Uzbek society and the Uzbek people are moving forward confidently and steadily, despite the profound turbulence in the international system observed throughout 2025 and continuing into early 2026.

We wish success in implementing these large-scale, responsible, and essential tasks that Uzbekistan has set for itself.
