The Japanese television and radio company TBS demonstrated the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in the famous TV show Crazy Journey.
The episode dedicated to Uzbekistan was called “Sato Travels to Central Asia” and was repeatedly broadcast on local television over the past two weeks.
The program included stories about the sights of Tashkent, Samarkand, and Khiva. It was noted that many historical monuments of Uzbekistan, which are examples of Islamic architecture, are included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.
The show's creators visited the Chorsu market, where you can find everything from food to souvenirs. They walked through the Tashkent Metro stations and talked about the history of their creation. They also visited the famous Registan Square in Samarkand.
“When you come here, you feel a great and glorious past”, the program says.
It should be noted that the material for the TV show was filmed during the trip of Japanese television journalists to Uzbekistan, which took place from September 27 to October 1 last year and was organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan.
