A training workshop on countering terrorism

On March 4-7, 2024, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan will host a national training on countering the use of new technologies for terrorist purposes.

The event aims to familiarize Uzbekistan specialists with best practices and modern methods in this sphere, as well as develop national measures and recommendations to prevent relevant risks and threats.

The training is carried out within the framework of the roadmap for the implementation of proposals and initiatives put forward by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the Tashkent High-level Conference on the Implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Central Asia on March 3-4, 2022.

The event is organized by the UN Counter-Terrorism Office, the Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It is attended by representatives of law enforcement and judicial authorities, experts in cybersecurity, and analytical structures.

Leading experts in cybersecurity from the Counterterrorism Center and the UN Counter-Terrorism Office will address the four-day event.
