The head of the Department for Cooperation with European Countries and European Union Institutions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Oybek Shakhavdinov, met with a representative of the Swedish company AstraZeneca AB in Stockholm.

The parties discussed issues of establishing cooperation to ensure the quality and safety of medicines produced and imported to Uzbekistan.

Preliminary agreements have also been reached on improving the skills of national personnel in oncology, neurology, diabetes, genetics, and respiratory diseases.
