A solar power plant to be built in Alat district
A solar power plant worth $159 million will be built in Alat district of Bukhara region, Uzbekistan.
It will generate more than 585 gigawatt-hours of renewable energy per year. Almost 75 thousand homes will have the opportunity to use clean electricity.
This is the first project in Central Asia to integrate an electricity storage system into its infrastructure. This will improve the efficiency and flexibility of the energy system, enhance the security of supply, and reduce interruptions in renewable energy production.
