A major project specializing in the processing, storing, and exporting agricultural products will be implemented in Syrdarya region.
Chinese investors will invest $35 million to achieve these purposes. Once the project reaches full capacity, more than 1,000 permanent jobs will be created for young people.
This became known during a dialogue between the Hokim of Syrdarya region Akmaljon Makhmudaliyev and the CEO of China’s Taitong International Transport Chu Xuan. The parties discussed organizational issues related to the project of building a large production and logistics center with Chinese investment.
This project will be implemented in three stages, and the first capacities will be commissioned in September 2025. Most importantly, the project will allow, under the brand “Made in Uzbekistan”, to export agricultural products grown on the generous Syrdarya land not only to China, but also to other countries.
