Navoi hosted the International Festival of Poetry “Mumtoz She’riyat” (“Classical Poetry”) and the first meeting of the Union of Writers of the Turkic World.

The event defined new horizons for cooperation between writers of fraternal peoples.

Presentations of the 100-volume “Pearls of Turkic Literature” and the 30-volume “Uzbek Navoi studies of the independence period”, as well as the work “Khamsa” by Alisher Navoi, published in the Kazakh language, took place within the framework of the International Festival “Mumtoz She’riyat”. The publications, and the international forum made a great impression on the poets and writers of the Turkic-speaking states.
