A roundtable discussion on “Violence against children” was organized at the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of Naira Avetisyan, an international expert from UNICEF Uzbekistan.

It was attended by senior officials of the Ministry, teachers, psychologists, and deputy directors for spiritual-enlightenment activities.

The activities carried out in secondary schools to protect children from all forms of violence and its prevention were discussed at the event. Reports from industry experts and responsible persons were heard.

Ms. Naira Avetisyan noted that the work carried out in Uzbekistan to eliminate cases of violence against children and protect them is yielding positive results. 

Following the event, an agreement was reached to develop a unified procedure for preventing violence in secondary schools, regularly holding roundtable discussions and meetings.
