A representative of the Atlantic Council visits Uzbekistan’s Andijan
Terrell Jermaine Starr, a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center and the senior reporter at The Root, visited Uzbekistan to help promote tourism and culture in Andijan region.
According to the State Committee for Tourism Development, Terrell Starr’s two-day trip began in the Old City area of Andijan. He visited the Jome architectural complex, the Devonaboy mosque, the Old City farmer’s market and the Crafts ethnographic zone in the Old City.
On the second day of the trip, Terrell Starr will visit Fortress architectural monument, Bobur Garden park and museum, the archaeological site Mingtepa. He prepares articles on the results of his trip and impressions of Andijan. This, in turn, will increase the interest of foreign tourists in Andijan region.
