A program for the development of the agricultural sector worth $5.1 million will be implemented on the territory of the Aral Sea region, together with the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) of the United Arab Emirates.

The Minister of Innovative Development Ibrokhim Abdurakhmanov met with the Director General of the Center, Dr. Tarifa Al Zaabi during the visit of Uzbekistan delegation to the UAE. 

The parties discussed the issue of implementing the program. They agreed on the cultivation of drought-resistant plant varieties in the Aral Sea region and conducting joint research. The possibilities of co-financing were also considered.
