A program about Uzbekistan on Azerbaijan TV channel
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Baku and the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a media tour for film crew of Khazar TV channel of Azerbaijan.
In order to popularize tourism potential and rich historical-cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Baku and the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a media tour for film crew of Khazar TV channel of Azerbaijan at the end of March 2018.
Following the trip, this TV channel prepared four 40-minute films devoted to Navruz celebrations in Uzbekistan and sights of Samarkand.
Azerbaijan TV channel broadcasted all four films during April within the framework of “Sirdash” program, which airs once a week, as well as published on the website of the media.
According to the State Committee for Tourism Development, presenter of “Sirdash” program R. Azeri informed that these films aroused audiences’ great interest to Uzbekistan. Moreover, as he noted, leadership of Azerbaijan expressed gratitude for preparation of colorful and meaningful programs about brotherly country and its history.
In this regard, interviewer noted the interest of film crew of Khazar TV to visit Uzbekistan again in autumn 2018 for preparation of similar films devoted to Bukhara and about “ziyorat tourism”(pilgrimage tourism).
