20:00 / 2024-12-20

Recently, special attention has been paid to developing the tourism sector in Uzbekistan. This field plays a significant role in developing the country’s economy and promoting cultural heritage. As a result, theoretical and practical knowledge related to tourism is being given great importance in higher education institutions today. In particular, mastering foreign languages, tourism management, and the effective use of information technologies are considered key priorities in the educational process of this field.

Alisher Omonov, an English teacher at the Foreign Languages Department of Tashkent State Transport University, has conducted a practical lesson on “Tourism Potential of Uzbekistan”. During the session, detailed information was provided on the reforms implemented in the tourism sector in recent years and the importance of the country’s historical cities and ancient monuments in developing the industry. The session, enriched with lively discussions, also allowed students to express their views on the topic and demonstrate the knowledge they had acquired. This video report highlights this particular practical lesson.

We interviewed the teacher and students about the significance of this practical session.

Alisher Omonov, an English teacher at the Foreign Languages Department of Tashkent State Transport University:

– I work as an English teacher in a foreign language department. This is my group. They are LT10s. They are specialized in logistics. So what can we say about our students? They are very active in our lessons. All of them have certificates B2, C1. They are very active in our early lessons. So now they are gaining knowledge of English according to their specialty. And I am sure they will organize their English language knowledge when they graduate and finish university courses. And they will work according to their specialty in foreign or in joint ventures, I may say, like this.

Today’s topic was dedicated to the potential of tourism in our country. During the practical lesson, I focused on strengthening the students’ knowledge in this field and their ability to express their thoughts in English. What made me happy was that they were very active during the lesson.

Dostonbek Khudoyberganov, a first-year student at Tashkent State Transport University:

– I’m a student of a group LT10s, and our group specializes in logistics. I’m working in this field at Intrac. We are importing products from China to Tashkent. In the future, I will also work in this field and develop the logistics field in my country.

Our English teacher gave an interesting lesson about the tourism sector. Although I study logistics, just as logistics is crucial for developing Uzbekistan’s economy, tourism is equally essential.
