Fergana region’s delegation took part in the International Festival of Handicrafts held on February 13-17 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

According to the regional Hokimiyat, the Hanoi City Hall leadership and the President of the World Crafts Council, Sa’ad Al-Qaddumi, visited the Uzbekistan artisans’ pavilion and highly appreciated their products. An agreement was reached on the online trade organization of Uzbekistan and Vietnamese artisans’ products.

The delegation also visited the Van Phuc Silk Village, famous for its silk weaving. It became familiar with cooperation methods, the advantages of producing one type of product in one region, and approaches to finding new markets for exporting products.

The Vietnamese businesspeople discussed the possibility of investing in mechanical engineering, construction, fruit and vegetable processing, electrical engineering, and pharmaceuticals in Uzbekistan.

Kokand City Hokim M. Usmanov informed about the International Festival of Handicrafts to be held in Kokand, and invited Vietnamese artisans and entrepreneurs to this significant event.
