A delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including representatives of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, youth wing "Zhas Otan" of "Nur Otan" party of Kazakhstan, the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan, the Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Sport and the Youth Policy of Turkmenistan, the council of the youth organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli visited historical sights of Samarkand.

Guests visited the Imam Bukhari complex in Payarik district, the mausoleums of Amir Temur, Bibikhanum in the city of Samarkand. They took part in a charity auction organized in Mirzo Ulugbek madrasah.

The opening ceremony of the forum took place in the regional khokimiyat. Speakers at the event noted that this forum, held for the first time at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, is of great importance in that it aims at strengthening the historically established relations of friendship and good-neighborliness between the states of Central Asia, protecting youth from alien ideas and influences, educating them as harmoniously developed individuals.



On June 10 this year at the regular summit of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, held in Qingdao, the People's Republic of China, the appeal of the heads of member states of the organization to the youth and the Action Program for its implementation was adopted.

The present forum, which united the youth of the neighboring since ancient times Uzbek, Tajik, Kyrgyz, Kazakh, Turkmen people is an important step in joint implementation of socially significant projects and programs.

Within the framework of the forum, roundtable discussions, meetings of youth press clubs on "The role of youth in development of science and education", "Cultural cooperation in the Central Asian region", "Youth tourism – the main factor in development of Central Asia", "The role of youth in preventing and countering violent extremism and radicalism that lead to terrorism” will be held. A 3D show will be presented for guests, on Registan Square. Following the forum, it is planned to sign a Memorandum "Cooperation 2019-2021" between the countries.
