The Committee on Interethnic Relations and Compatriots Abroad, in collaboration with the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan, organized a press tour for representatives of local and foreign media to the pavilions of national cultural centers located in one of Tashkent’s districts.

Journalists and guests visited the Houses of Friendship, which showcase photographs, household items, works of art, musical instruments, and various unique exhibits illustrating the customs and traditions of different nations and ethnic groups.

These magnificent and elegant structures embody the national identity of 22 nations.

The pavilions were built at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and their grand opening took place on the eve of July 30 – the People’s Friendship Day. When developing the projects, the advice of leaders and representatives from the country’s national cultural centers was taken into account. The implementation of this idea by the President is a practical expression of state policy aimed at promoting interethnic harmony and friendship. The national pavilions have also become a venue for cultural dialogue and exchange of views, as well as for hosting various festive events, concerts, friendship festivals, and exhibitions. Today, it is one of the most lively and attractive corners of Tashkent.
