President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his trip to Surkhandarya region on February 10-11, 2017 got acquainted with this project of JSC Almalyk MMC and gave necessary recommendations. In accordance with this, the construction of a large plant with a capacity of 1.5 million tons of qualitative Portland cement per year is being completed in a short time. The plant is equipped with modern equipment. These days, last installation activities are being completed.

The project with a total cost of 212.8 million dollars will provide employment for more than a thousand people. The main part of production will be directed to domestic market. It should be noted that the new enterprise will play an important role in further development of industry of the region.

This was discussed in detail during the meeting of the acting khokim of the region B.Pulatov with representatives of the main contractor – Dal Teknik Turkish Company A.Abatay and E.Durak. In addition, issues of rapid and qualitative completion of construction and installation activities at the plant and putting it into operation for the 27th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence were discussed.
