A project for the construction of a new building of the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan has been presented.
According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the project is being implemented jointly by the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Cabinet of Ministers and the Art, Science and Sports Charity Foundation, founded by well-known Uzbek investor and philanthropist Alisher Usmanov.
The construction of a new building is planned for 2022-2023 in Tashkent, between the Abulqasim Madrasah, the Istiqlol Palace of Arts and the monument to Alisher Navoi.
The design concept of the museum includes a large exhibition area, storage for museum collections, a library, a lecture hall, a cafe, as well as a terrace and a rooftop park.
During the presentation, the master plan of the object, exhibition area, public area, premises for museum collections, conference hall, restaurants, cafes and auditoriums, as well as engineering and planning solutions for the library were presented. The design of the museum is carried out taking into account all the latest technologies in the museum activities.
The general presentation of the new building of the State Museum of Arts will take place in April.
