By the Presidential Resolution “On measures to organize the activities of the Ohalik-Okbuiro-Mironkul tourist-recreational zone” of February 6, 2024, the Ohalik-Okbuiro-Mironkul tourist-recreational zone was established in Samarkand region. The “Ohalik”, “Okbuiro”, and “Mironkul” projects will be implemented here.

This place is located 12 kilometers southwest of Samarkand. The beginning of this mountainous region passes through the territories of the “Ohalik”, “Okbuiro” and “Mironkul” mahallas of Samarkand region, and the end connects with the mountain ranges of Tajikistan. It is known for its natural beauty and clean air.

Currently, large-scale activities are underway to develop tourist infrastructure in this territory. Modular and capsule accommodation facilities are being built, yurts, car camps, zip lines, bungee jumping, and zorbing attractions are being installed, and tourists can go hang gliding and paragliding here.
