A new Technology Park to be built in Jizzakh

The foundation of a new industrial Technology Park has been laid in the Sharaf Rashidov district. In this regard, an event was held dedicated to signing 25 memoranda of cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.

The event was attended by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, several Chinese companies, managers of official organizations of the region, representatives of the public and Chinese journalists, and representatives of the central and local media of the country.

The region’s Hokim Ergash Soliyev delivered a speech and expressed gratitude to foreign partners for their successful activities in developing and strengthening economic cooperation with Jizzakh region.

It was emphasized that thanks to the constant attention and support of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, economic cooperation is consistently developing between the two countries, as well as the fact that significant progress has been achieved in all areas of the economy in recent years.

The event featured a presentation of products from Chinese companies. The participants’ attention was drawn to products manufactured in China, especially electric cars, tea, and other goods.

200 hectares will be allocated for a new Technology Park in Sharaf Rashidov district. As a result of the project, more than a thousand new jobs will be created. The volume of industrial production will increase by one and a half times. The Technology Park includes production projects in electrical products, chemical industry, textiles and building materials.

To implement the project, investors plan to invest $500 million.

The Technology Park will start operating at total capacity by 2025.
