Tashkent hosted an event dedicated to the launch of the Uzbekistan Trade Info platform, which provides detailed information on the trading procedure within the framework of the four-year Ready4 Trade Central Asia project funded by the European Union.
This project was developed by the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, the State Customs Committee and the UNCTAD/JST International Trade Center.
It was noted that the ongoing work to support business and create favorable conditions for the development of trade in Uzbekistan gives the expected results. This aspect is becoming increasingly important in the development of trade relations with the European Union and global markets.
The “Uzbekistan Trade Info” contributes to providing free and continuous access to information related to cross-border trade, reducing the time and costs of an entrepreneur, and helping to eliminate obstacles in the trade process. Updating the information on the platform will be provided jointly with government agencies and the private sector.
The regional project supports the development of international trade in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The platform will become an effective tool for step-by-step simplification of cross-border trade, complementing the range of existing national online services and assisting the private sector of Uzbekistan in using the opportunities available in international trade practice.
