A new page in cooperation between the supreme audit institutions of Uzbekistan and India

A delegation led by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Girish Chandra Murmu, visited the Accounts Chamber of Uzbekistan.

As part of the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with Adiz Boboyev, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Uzbekistan. Agreements were reached regarding the introduction of information technologies, the exchange of experience in international audits, and personnel training and retraining.

The Accounts Chamber hosted a presentation on the activities, status, and scope of activities of the Supreme Audit Institution of India and its role in the international arena.

The parties agreed to establish close cooperation on the joint study of modern global problems.

In addition, an agreement was reached that employees of the Accounts Chamber of Uzbekistan will undergo an internship at the International Centre for Information Systems and Audit under the Supreme Audit Institution of India in areas such as “Efficiency Audit”, “Financial Audit”, “Compliance Audit”, and “IT Audit”.

As part of the visit, the Indian delegation visited secondary school No. 24 named after Shastri in Tashkent, specializing in in-depth study of the Indian language, the Indian Cultural Center, and the State Museum of Timurids History.

The delegation also visited Samarkand. The guests met with the leadership of Samarkand Regional Hokimiyat and got acquainted with the city’s historical monuments.

The meeting was held in the spirit of open and sincere dialogue.
