A new museum from a Japanese architect

A presentation of engineering and planning solutions of the new building of the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan took place.

The Art and Culture Development Foundation is developing a project for the construction of a new building of the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan.

The museum will be built on the square next to Abulqosim Sheikh Madrasah and the monument to Alisher Navoi.

According to the Foundation, the architectural concept of the building is being developed by the Japanese famous architect Tadao Ando. 

Specialists of the Atelier Brückner architectural bureau provided the master plan of the facility, engineering and planning solutions. It was noted that in the development of the museum project, special emphasis is placed on the widespread use of modern technologies. The final version of the project will be presented in April 2022, and the construction is scheduled to be completed in 2023.

In addition, a preliminary concept of the Silk Road Museum in Samarkand has been developed. It will be located in University Square.
