President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his visit to Surkhandarya region in February 2017, gave relevant instructions on improving the quality and efficiency of medical services to the population, reconstruction and equipping existing medical institutions at the level of international standards, as well as organization of Termez branches of the Republican Specialized Center of Eye Microsurgery and Scientific Practical Medical Center of Urology, and Perinatal Center.

In accordance with this, specific activities were planned for organization of the Regional Branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific Practical Medical Center of Urology in the region where the rate of kidney disease is high. Three-storey building of the Regional Multidisciplinary Medical Center was renovated and about 4 billion soums was allocated.

Over the past period of the year, more than 320 patients received proper treatment in 20-bed department of urology of the Regional Multidisciplinary Medical Center. More than 140 surgical operations were conducted. Commissioning of the center branch is important for early diagnosis and prevention of kidney disease.

It is planned to install 10 hemodialysis machines, lithotripters, x-ray and ultrasound machines in a new hospital, commissioned on the eve of the 27th anniversary of Independence. Local residents are satisfied with created conditions.
