Nordic International University has begun its activities in Tashkent, based on the best experience of the Northern Europe countries, including Finland.
This non-state higher education institution is the result of a large-scale joint work carried out over the past two years by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Inspectorate for Supervision of the Quality of Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan to develop and build up Uzbekistan – Finland cooperation in education.
The university will operate in such areas as economics, finance, international business, industrial management, preschool and primary education, foreign language and literature, computer engineering.
It is also planned to introduce summer courses and educational internships for university students in the Northern Europe countries, in particular in Finland.
In the coming years, it is planned to open a school and a pre-school education institution at this university.
