President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the Bukhara Azteks garment enterprise in Shafirkan district.

Previously, there was no industrial capacity in this area. As a result of agricultural transformations, a cluster system has also appeared here, industry has come. Now, cotton alone is used to produce yarn, fabrics, ready-made clothes, cottonseed oil, soap, feed, and dozens of other products.

Bukhara Azteks is one of a such modern enterprise. A complete cycle of cotton growing and deep processing has been established here. The degree of localization reached 100 percent.

The cost of the project is $8.7 million. Equipment from Japan, Germany and Türkiye has been installed. More than a thousand people have been employed.

The enterprise produces 16 million finished garments per year, 50 percent of this volume is planned to be supplied to the foreign market.

The Head of state assessed the quality of products manufactured at the enterprise, talked with the workers.

It is noteworthy that solar panels are installed on the roof of the enterprise. The President noted the need for increasing such modern enterprises and ensuring employment of the population.
