After the President’s visit

During his visit to Tashkent region on August 2, the President got acquainted with the activities of companies in the Angren Free Economic Zone and gave instructions on forming new projects and increasing employment.

In this economic zone, established in 2012, there are now 76 enterprises employing more than 11 thousand people. Another enterprise is involved as part of the tasks set.

Eden-Pipe Production Group LLC specializes in producing pipes widely used in water supply and sewerage networks. The monthly production of 72,000 meters of polyethylene and polypropylene pipes worth 7 billion UZS created 50 new jobs. At the same time, the employment of young people from the city of Angren and the Akhangaran district included in the “Youth Notebook” was provided.

Work has begun on 42 more projects in the industrial zone, and more than 5,000 jobs will be created. Such initiatives, timed to coincide with the celebration of the 32nd Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, are a great gift to the region’s residents.
