On the days of the wide celebration of the 32nd Anniversary of the country’s independence, the Zaamin Airport was built and put into operation on the territory of the Laylak uya massif of Zaamin district of Jizzakh region.
The solemn event organized on this occasion was attended by the heads of the regional and district hokimiyats, sectors, authorized organizations, labor veterans, and members of the public.

At the event on the occasion of the official opening and commissioning of the Zaamin airport, the Hokim of Jizzakh region Ergash Soliyev, the Hokim of Zaamin district Alisher Abduganiyev and others spoke about the large-scale reforms carried out in the country, about the grandiose creative work carried out over the past seven years in the region and district, amenities created for the population.

“The implementation of this project at the initiative of the Head of state will serve to increase the population’s income. For, after the project is launched, the infrastructure will be developed. In particular, the areas of transport services, public catering, including the preparation of traditional dishes, handicrafts, and the manufacture of national souvenirs, hotel activities, and other spheres will be developed, where new jobs will be created, and the local population will be employed”, says Ergash Soliyev, Hokim of Jizzakh region.

Zaamin Airport, built by the Tress-001 construction organization, has a passenger terminal for 30 seats, and 60 hectares of land were allocated for construction. Over 200 workers and 110 equipment units were involved in the facility’s construction. Construction work is nearing completion.
Based on the established plan, work is underway on the design and construction of the airport infrastructure, utilities, runway, apron, and the acquisition of radio and air navigation equipment to ensure takeoff and landing.

According to the general plan of the tourist and recreational zone, it is planned to build a conference palace for 225 people, a family entertainment complex, four 4-star hotels, seven 3-star hotels, 6 apartments, 7 restaurants and cafes, an 8-kilometer ski slope, 13 attractions on its territory worth 2 trillion 800 billion UZS. At the expense of commercial banks on the Suffa plateau, work has been completed on constructing three modern hotels with 360 beds.

With the commissioning of a modern airport and the establishment of air traffic, additional conveniences and opportunities will be created for the arrival of foreign and local tourists from the city of Tashkent and regions of the country.
