A network of expert analysts to be created on the platform of the Alliance of Independent Experts of Central Asia

Tashkent hosted the Central Asian Expert Forum.

In 2016-2021, the total foreign trade turnover of the Central Asian countries increased by 54 percent and amounted to $167 billion. The volume of trade in the region has tripled. The number of joint ventures has increased fivefold. The share of investments in Central Asia in the global volume increased from 1.6 percent to 2.5 percent, their volume in 2021 amounted to $34.3 billion. At the same time, mutual investments increased by 3 times. As a result, the regional gross domestic product increased by 20 percent and reached $329 billion.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sadyk Safoyev noted that in a historically short period fundamental changes have taken place in Central Asia. Close cooperation has been established based on mutual trust and joint resolution of complex issues, and the interests of the countries are similar in this.

At the forum, more than 100 public and political figures from the countries of the region, the expert community, and media representatives discussed current issues and tasks of regional cooperation in the format of a constructive dialogue. This is important for the development of a unified position of experts in the main areas of sustainable development in Central Asia.

At the forum, domestic and foreign experts considered the participation of analytical research centers in ensuring sustainable development in Central Asian countries, identifying new areas of cooperation, developing practical proposals and recommendations.

The forum participants took the initiative to create a network of experts on the platform of the Alliance of Independent Experts of Central Asia. The uniqueness of the network will lie in the study of the main processes in Central Asia at the regional level.

The creation of a permanent platform of independent experts will allow for discussing current issues of regional cooperation in the format of a reliable, constructive and open dialogue, and solving common problems.

At the forum, organized jointly with the “Yuksalish” Nationwide Movement, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the representative office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Central Asia, a decision was made to create an Alliance of Expert Analysts of Central Asia.
