The Local History Museum of Syrdarya region is located in the center of Khavast district in Khavas City neighborhood.

There are exhibits from one of the important sites at the crossroads of the Silk Road – “Eski Khovostepa”. Excavations were carried out only on half of the area of this archaeological site. All exhibits in the museum can tell about the 2700-year history of the region. The collection is constantly updated. The museum attracts both residents and foreign tourists.
