A modern library for children will be built in Samarkand
19:54 / 2025-11-11

The Head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, became familiar with the concept of the future children’s library in Samarkand, to be located in a building built in 1911.

As Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized, the building will be restored with special care, by analogy with the Tashkent library, while preserving the cultural heritage and the spirit of the era.

The new library will become a modern spiritual space for children, teenagers, their parents, and teachers. Special attention will be paid to issues of inclusivity. The institution will create an audio fund for visually impaired and blind children.

The library’s book collection will amount to about 120,000 volumes in Uzbek, Russian, and English.

“It will be an incredible place of attraction for the residents of Samarkand, filled with spirituality. I wish good luck to this wonderful project!” Saida Mirziyoyeva said.
