On October 20 this year, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in social protection was signed between the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It aims at creating and developing mutually beneficial bilateral relations to digitalize public services in social protection, organize the provision of social services to persons in difficult life situations in a mobile and semi-stationary form, and organize social protection of persons with disabilities.

The parties also agreed on the joint implementation of initiatives in several areas, including the organization and expansion of social services for socially vulnerable groups of the population, the provision of services by individuals and legal entities, and the organization of the activities of social workers.
