A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Uzbekistan Industrial and Construction Bank – SQB and the Ministry of Natural Resources of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by the Bank's leadership, heads of relevant structural divisions, and Ministry of Natural Resources officials.

The MoU mainly provides for developing bilateral cooperation in environmental issues and environmental protection.

According to the document, the parties will work on several priority areas. In particular, to raise public awareness about environmental issues and environmental protection, it is planned to hold online joint workshops, roundtable discussions, scientific and practical conferences, and various campaigns and organize the exchange of data, opinions of experts, researchers, and specialists in this area. The implementation of joint programs and projects in other areas was also noted.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of SQB, Farrukh Abdurakhmonov, stressed that the industrial industry is developing rapidly when the population is steadily increasing, and the rational use of electricity and natural resources is a time requirement.

At the same time, the Bank focuses on the environmental and social aspects of projects and actively supports the allocation of loans for energy-efficient and resource-saving equipment.

It was noted that to fully implement the principles of a green bank in the Bank's system. Foreign experience is being studied even more deeply.
