Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Rustam Karimjonov met with representatives of the University of Cambridge.

According to the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the parties discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation and introducing innovations in Uzbekistan based on modern IT education.

One of the main topics was creating a system for assessing young people interested in IT. This system aims to objectively assess young people’s abilities and develop the necessary knowledge and skills. It also serves to identify gifted young people interested in IT.

At the meeting, the improvement of national IT standards and advanced training of information technology teachers in artificial intelligence and modern technologies were named as important areas.

Following the meeting, new areas of cooperation in information technology were identified. An agreement was reached on the introduction of joint advanced training programs for Uzbekistan youth at the University of Cambridge, based on a full grant.
