The Minister of Youth Policy and Sports Adham Ikramov met with FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich.

FIDE President emphasized that large-scale activity is being carried out to develop chess in Uzbekistan and acknowledged that the country’s prestige in the international arena is growing yearly. This is manifested in the World Championship events in Samarkand and the achievements of Uzbekistan’s chess players at international competitions.

The parties reached several agreements regarding further strengthening cooperation in the development of chess and organizing prestigious competitions, which are expected to be held at a high level in Uzbekistan.
