A regular meeting of the Central Election Commission took place.

The participants discussed issues related to the resolution of appeals received by the CEC during the preparation for the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, accreditation of observers from international organizations and media representatives participating in the elections, information from the chairpersons of some district election commissions on the preparations for this important event.

The Head of the Secretariat of the Central Election Commission, Kh. Mamatov, informed on the appeals received by the CEC from individuals and legal entities. As noted, responsible officials of the commission and relevant departments of the secretariat give detailed answers to each appeal in accordance with legislative documents. It was emphasized that not a single request is left without attention.

The members of the Commission discussed the measures taken to address the appeals received by the CEC during the period of preparation for the elections and made an appropriate decision.

Based on the appeals received by the CEC, 301 local media representatives have been accredited. Thus, today the total number of accredited representatives of local and foreign media is 1,155.
