The Central Election Commission held a meeting for snap presidential elections in Uzbekistan. Authorized representatives of political parties attended it.

At the meeting, the issues of creating district election commissions, improving the skills of members of election commissions, organizing the activities of the press center of the Central Election Commission, introducing amendments and additions to the Instruction on the procedure for using funds and financing the holding and preparation of elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, deputies of the Legislative Chamber Oliy Majlis, Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional, district and city Councils of people’s deputies, approved by the resolution of the Central Election Commission No. 969 of October 25, 2019, on preparation for snap elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and approval of the cost estimate for their conduct were considered.

At the meeting, members of the Central Election Commission expressed their opinions and judgments about the candidates recommended for membership in district commissions. A decision was made on the agenda item.

When approving this estimate, special attention was paid to saving budgetary funds. In particular, in 2019, 19.8% of the funds allocated during the elections of representative bodies were saved, in the presidential elections of 2021 – 26% and during the referendum held this year – 13.5% of budget funds.
