On March 17, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov met with the UNHCR Regional Representative for Central Asia, Hans Friedrich Schodder.

The parties discussed cooperation issues between Uzbekistan and UNHCR in areas of mutual interest.

Mutual readiness was expressed to continue close interaction in providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, in particular, through the International Multifunctional Transport and Logistics Hub in the city of Termez.

The UNHCR Regional Representative expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for the conditions created and the ongoing assistance provided in the delivery of humanitarian cargo not only to Afghanistan, but also to other countries of the world.
