A literary event dedicated to the memory of the great writer was held at Abdulla Qodiriy Memorial Museum in Tashkent.

It was attended by heads of ministries and agencies, prominent figures of science, art, culture, rectors of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, students and schoolchildren.

Participants focused on the historical events related to the bright life and work of the famous writer Abdulla Qodiriy, who made a great contribution to the development of Uzbek literature and culture.

The theater artists presented dramatizations based on the works of Abdulla Qodiriy.

Within the framework of the event, a creative competition was launched among talented students of Kamoliddin Bekhzod National Institute of Arts and Design to create stories dedicated to the life and work of Abdulla Qodiriy.

An exhibition of contestants' works “Worthy followers of Abdulla Qodiriy” is scheduled for October 13 at Tashkent House of Photography.

The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov.
