A large-scale project for the cultivation and processing of hazelnuts to be implemented in Uzbekistan
In recent years, Uzbekistan has attracted significant investments in the nut-growing business.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, within the framework of the state visit of the Head of state to Azerbaijan, on August 22 this year, Minister of Agriculture Aziz Voitov met with the CEO of the Agrarco company, Javid Kazimov. During the talks, the implementation of a large-scale project for the cultivation and processing of hazelnuts in Uzbekistan was discussed, and a corresponding Memorandum of Cooperation was signed.
It should be noted that from one hazelnut bush, you can get 8-10 kilograms of nuts. 600 seedlings are planted per hectare, meaning 2-3 tons of hazelnuts can be harvested from each hectare. The height of the shrub reaches 2-4 meters. The fruits ripen in August-October.
