A joint declaration on legal cooperation to be signed

The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akbar Tashkulov received a delegation led by Berlin Senator for Justice and Consumer Protection Felor Badenberg.

The interaction in justice and law and new initiatives planned for implementation were discussed at the meeting.

The Minister of Justice spoke about the reforms implemented in justice and law to strengthen relations between Uzbekistan and Germany.

In particular, the Ministry of Justice and the Representative Office of the German Society for International Cooperation in Tashkent have been implementing various joint programs and projects for many years.

Felor Badenberg highly appreciated the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan to combat corruption. At the same time, she noted that various threats are growing worldwide, such as religious radicalism, extremism, and various types of cybercrime, in the fight against which the countries of the world are experiencing certain difficulties.

At the meeting, it was reported that a draft joint declaration on cooperation in the legal field was developed with the Federal Ministry of Justice of Germany, which is scheduled to be signed in the coming days.
