Samarkand hosted an exhibition-fair dedicated to the development and prospects of the jewelry industry. Individual entrepreneurs and enterprises involved in jewelry in Tashkent, Namangan, and Samarkand regions participated in it.
The Uzbekzargarsanoati Association and representatives of the Hokimiyat of Samarkand region took part in the exhibition fair, organized to ensure the implementation of these tasks, and spoke about the ongoing reforms to expand jewelry production in the country.
“The benefits and opportunities created based on relevant decrees and resolutions of the President are of particular importance for the development of the industry”, says Dilshod Salomov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Uzbekzargarsanoati Association. – The most important of them is the benefit of purchasing raw materials. The planned opening of jewelry centers in seven cities of our country is also significant for the jewelry industry. The first such center will appear in the city of Samarkand, where a building in a suitable area has been selected, and a project worth 20 billion UZS has been developed. Thanks to the implementation of this project, 150 jobs will be created this year and 200 in 2024. Based on the “master-apprentice” tradition, 100 apprentices are expected to be trained this year, and this figure will increase several times next year.
The jewelry exhibition-fair in Samarkand acquired particular significance due to the fact that it created an opportunity for business entities that are already engaged in the production and processing of jewelry to share their experience with those who want to start activities in this direction.
