The National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan sounded. Greetings of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of formation of the Armed Forces and Defenders of the Motherland Day were read.

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant-General Abdusalom Azizov noted that activities carried out in recent years for increasing the combat potential, strengthening the material and technical base of the Armed Forces, providing the army with modern weapons, increasing physical, spiritual and intellectual training, social protection of military personnel give tangible results.

Military personnel were awarded the orders “Shon-sharaf” (Honor) of the II degree, “Dustlik” (Friendship), “Mardlik” (Сourage), the medals “Jasorat” (Bravery), “Sodiq khizmatlari uchun” (For dedicated service), “Shukhrat” (Glory) in accordance with the Decree of the President of the country “On awarding in connection with the 27th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Defenders of the Motherland Day a group of military personnel and law enforcement officers” of January 11, 2019.

Veterans who have worked effectively in the system for many years have been presented with memorable gifts. In addition, a group of officers was given the rank of colonel.
