The delegation led by the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbai Orynbaev, met with the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, during a working visit to the United Arab Emirates.

Karakalpakstan’s economic potential for implementing new investment projects, its unique geographical location, and tourism, agriculture, and industry opportunities were noted during the conversation. The hosts showed great interest in the agricultural products of Uzbekistan in general and Karakalpakstan in particular. Issues of establishing permanent cooperation on the production of products in the Aral Sea region and supplies to the UAE were also discussed.

Then the delegation members met with the leadership of RAK Ceramics, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of ceramics and sanitary ware. The company presented ceramic tiles, mosaics, interior, and exterior solutions. Launching localized enterprises to produce ceramic products and building materials was also considered.

Issues related to the implementation of joint projects were discussed with representatives of the Asr Rent a Car. A contract has been signed to develop a project for the production of mono blocks in Karakalpakstan with an investment volume of $43 million.

During the meetings, which were held in an open and constructive spirit, the parties agreed to use the opportunities for cooperation effectively. Agreements have been reached with about 20 foreign companies to sign export contracts worth $100 million.
