A five-day training at the Center for Maternal and Child Health
15:33 / 2024-08-02

Specialists from Uzbekistan are studying modern technologies aimed at reducing maternal and infant mortality at a training with the participation of experts from the largest medical institution in Russia – the Federal State Budget Institution “National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I.Kulakov”.

The international training is being held at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health. It is organized within the framework of cooperation between the two countries’ largest specialized medical organizations.

As noted by the Acting Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Asilbek Khudayarov, such an exchange of experience is of great practical importance. He emphasized that the main direction in medicine in both countries is the gradual transition from “repair medicine” to preventive medicine, the comprehensive development of a healthy lifestyle in society. The continuous professional development of medical workers is one of the main components.

This time, the National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Perinatology presented a solid team of trainers, including 8 Russian experts.

More than 30 specialists – obstetricians-gynecologists, neonatologists, and heads of medical institutions – participated in the training. In addition to training in their areas, the participants underwent team simulation work, acting as a multidisciplinary team of specialists.

As noted at the opening of the training by the Director of the Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health, Natalia Nadyrkhanova, such direct transfer of best practices is very important. This will allow the preparation of trainers who will then be able to transfer the acquired skills and knowledge to an even more significant number of specialists in the country’s regions.

Training for specialists in the maternal and child health system from Tashkent and regions of the country will last until August 3.
