A film about Sharaf Rashidov wins the “Best Documentary Film” category at the prestigious London Film Festival
Shukhrat Khaitov’s film “Sharaf Rashidov – the Inspirer for the Development of Mirzachul” was recognized as the “Best Documentary Film” of the 6th ECG Film Festival in London, held on May 24-28. It was among hundreds of applications from 22 countries.
The film will be shown at the Premier Cinemas Romford Theater in London, where viewers will learn about the life of the famous Uzbek statesman and public figure Sharaf Rashidov.
The film’s plot is focused on the history of the development of Mirzachul in the 1960s. The documentary includes interviews with participants in the events of those years, labor veterans, builders, and machine operators, as well as historians, economists, journalists, and political scientists.
Representatives of British culture and art recognized the historical significance of the film and the heroism shown by the Uzbek people in the development of Mirzachul.
