Festive events, dedicated to the 581st anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker, famous statesman and public figure Alisher Navoi, are taking place in Fergana.

A ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to Alisher Navoi took place in the region.

At the event, the participants noted the socio-political life of Alisher Navoi, the spiritual and enlightenment aspects of his works, the need for studying the poet's creativity.

Professors from Canada, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, teaching at the Presidential School in Fergana, students of Erkin Vakhidov Creative School read some of Alisher Navoi's ghazals.
